What does BIM modeling outsourcing actually include?

Anything from a single discipline model (just structure, just MEP) to a full multi-discipline coordinated set with clash detection. Common engagements: schematic design models for feasibility, LOD 300 documentation models for permit sets, LOD 400 fabrication models for steel and MEP, and as-built models from PDF or point cloud.

How much do BIM modeling services cost?

Pricing depends on discipline, LOD, project size, and turnaround. Architectural LOD 300 work typically runs at $35 to $55 per hour. Structural and MEP at LOD 350 to 400 runs higher. We quote against actual scope, not square footage estimates. Most projects come in 30 to 50 percent below U.S. in-house rates without sacrificing quality.

Can you work to our firm BIM standards and templates?

Yes. Send us your BIM execution plan, family library, title block, and sheet conventions before kickoff. We apply those from the first model element. If you do not have documented standards, we can help you build them or work to a published reference like the AIA G202 BIM Protocol.

What is the difference between LOD 300, LOD 350, and LOD 400?

LOD 300 means geometry is accurate in size, shape, location, and orientation — suitable for documentation and quantity take-offs. LOD 350 adds interfaces with other building systems — suitable for coordination and clash detection. LOD 400 adds fabrication detail, connection geometry, and assembly information — suitable for direct shop output. Match the LOD to the use case, not to a default setting.

Do you offer MEP BIM services?

How does nearshore BIM outsourcing compare to offshore?

Same-day communication on the same business day, native English, AISC and AIA literacy by default, and short physical distance for in-person collaboration when projects warrant it. Offshore BIM costs less per hour but typically requires twice the revision cycles, language overhead on RFIs, and 12-hour scheduling offsets that delay decisions. Can you handle BIM coordination and clash detection?

Yes. We run clash detection in Navisworks across architectural, structural, and MEP models. Output includes clash reports, screenshots, and recommended resolutions for the design team to review. We work in Trimble Connect, BIM 360, or your preferred coordination platform.
